• Lead and manage the controlling, accounting and legal team (5 people total), including setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating a positive and collaborative work culture. 
• Collaborate with the TWAICE executive team to develop and contribute to the company's overall commercial strategy whilst ensuring financial sustainability. 
• Create and manage the financial plan and budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum return on investment. 
• Be fully responsible for the execution of all reporting related topics, including monthly financial reporting, monthly management reporting (including financial & operative KPI), monthly investor reporting. 
• Analyze and evaluate financials along with business performance, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and risk mitigation. 
• Drive the company reporting for all involved stakeholders, explicitly investors, to tell a story in addition to highlighting and forecasting business performance. 
• Oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, data privacy and compliance. 
• Shape and consult the commercialization of our software through the right legal contractual frameworks. 
• Oversee and lead all legal activities together with our legal counsel.  
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors and tax advisors to manage financial risk and secure funding as needed. 
• Oversee data privacy across the organization with the involvement of the data protection officer and ensure GDPR compliance. 
• Ensure financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, promoting transparency and accountability. 
• Orchestrate the required business certifications we must maintain and acquire to fulfill our commercial goals. 

• At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a similar field. 
• 8+ years of proven success on the company side in a financial or consulting role (software product & PE/VC backed strongly preferred). Alternatively, experience in financial management, strategic management consulting or investment banking. 
• First-hand experience in building and leading an effective team.  
• Hands-on & proactive is your way of working. 
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. 
• Experience in working with/ implementing LucaNet, DATEV and Salesforce is beneficial. 
• Experience in operational (group) accounting, e.g. consolidation, intercompany accounting is beneficial. 
• Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements (in cooperation with a tax advisor) and audits. 
• Strong software business acumen and financial acuity, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. 
• Understanding of legal concepts and translation of commercials into contractual frameworks. 
• Experience with negotiation, drafting and managing of commercial agreements and T&Cs. 
• Intrigued by going the extra mile and passion for pragmatic execution. 
• Fluent in both German and English.
